Inspired by New Zealand’s iconic Pōhutukawa tree, this one-of-a-kind shawl brings together deep forest greens, soft olive tones and vibrant red flowers in a beautifully organic design.
Handcrafted in my New Zealand studio using the traditional nuno felting technique, extra-fine merino wool is gently felted into lightweight silk chiffon, creating a wonderfully soft, fluid fabric with beautiful texture and movement.
The delicate transparency of the silk allows light to pass through the shawl, while the merino wool adds warmth, softness and rich layers of colour. Sculptural felted details along the edges give the piece its distinctive artistic character.
Elegant enough to wear for a special occasion yet wonderfully natural with a simple dress, this is more than a scarf — it is a wearable piece of textile art inspired by the beauty of New Zealand.

Each VESU shawl is individually designed and handmade by me, so no two pieces are ever exactly the same.
Care: Gentle hand wash in lukewarm water using a wool-safe detergent. Gently reshape and lay flat or hang to dry. Iron on a low setting if required.
