Inspired by the Auckland coastline and the view towards Rangitoto Island, this one-of-a-kind textile artwork is handmade from extra fine merino wool, silk fabric and natural fibres.
Layers of wool and silk create the movement and colours of the sea, while textured waves, rocks and raised 3D details bring depth to the piece. The artwork combines wet felting, nuno felting and needle felting techniques.
